Shona Joy Winter 2016 Lookbook
I’ve been away getting some ‘me time’ so it’s been a while. London Fashion Week is coming up again, which means I’ll be back on the blogging scene for SS17 reporting so I thought I’d kick off with some of my new favourite brands. I’m allover Aussie labels at the moment, and Shona Joy is one of my absolute favourites. I currently order direct from the Shona Joy website as there are no UK stockists so be sure to use a custom charge calculator before placing your order because the total price could be much more than expected. But I promise you it’s worth the extra cost! The quality is beautiful and the fit is generally true to size (a UK 8 is the same as an AUS 8) but always consider the material as some of the more structured Shona Joy pieces do not offer any stretch or give. I learnt the hard way.
My only real niggle with the sizing is that if you’re 5″6 or shorter, the garment may be too long. I’ve had a couple of midi length dresses taken up which were closer to my ankles. Sadly, I’m nowhere near as tall as the average Aussie fit model. My seamstress loves me though. My short legs bring her regular business. With a trusty alterations lady like mine, the length is never really that much of a problem so as long as you don’t mind spending a bit extra to get it taken up, I would definitely recommend ordering from Shona Joy.
