I really don’t like Mulberry. Louis Vuitton makes my stomach turn. And if I see another Celine bag smiling at me with that robotic mug-like façade, I’ll vomit. Designer fashion is a huge investment. For me, it’s financially debilitating. So why pay so much money to be a walking cliché? It’s just too predictable.
So it’s always refreshing to find a designer boutique which collaborates with up and coming designers, particularly ones that are not so widely known. Morgan Clare first opened in 1997 and has since been added to Vogue Magazine’s list of “Britain’s Top Boutiques” and they’re a great advocator of exciting new labels. Yes, they stock Mulbs *grumble*. But I won’t hold it against them. 😉
At the recent Morgan Clare fashion show, I was thrilled to see some of my favourite (and less predictable) designers including Helmut Lang, Diane Von Furtensberg, MSGM, No.21, Wildfox and Joseph. Here are some pictures from the event…
Visit the Morgan Clare website to see their current collection or visit their boutique store in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. I look forward to shopping with them soon.
