Look Who's All Grown Up: Jack Wills SS14

Look Who’s All Grown Up: Jack Wills SS14

Oh Jack. How you’ve done an awful lot of growing up over the years.

Last week, I met the lovely Tegan from Jack Wills’ PR team and she talked me through the latest womenswear collection. To be quite honest, I haven’t stepped inside a Jack Wills store since my first year of uni (and sadly, that was a long time ago now). I had a my trusty Jack Wills hoody which saw me through every uni hangover throughout my years at Worcester. It held its own against the elements (hangover fish and chips, dripping ketchup, spilt beer – you name it) and it even kept me warm when I needed to pop to the corner shop for fags, booze or paracetamol (what else did I need in life?).

But did I ever go back to Jack Wills? No. Did I ever see myself walking into a Jack Wills store again? I honestly didn’t. But I’m so pleased I met Tegan in their Covent Garden store. The brand has evolved and matured into something so fantastic. The collection still has its core classics but today, there’s the ever-so-chic addition of prints and some real consideration for beautifully casual tailoring. I love it.

So hey Jack, I heard you’re all grown up now and shizz. Well guess what, I’m no spring chicken either. 😉 Maybe we can be friends again…

……….and sure enough, I didn’t walk out of the Covent Garden store empty handed.

So watch this space, people. Because there might be a Jack Wills item in my next style post. Who’d have thought, eh…
