London Fashion Week SS17 // Markus Lupfer
Gin, flowers and foliage set the scene. The likes of Olivia Palermo and Pixie Lott set the bar for the guest list. And a touch of 90s grunge set the prints off with a little bit of Markus mischief. Known for his pretty floral prints and animated femininity, this upcoming collection is flower power going on rebellion; and with the addition of industrial chain hardware, Dennis the Menace stripes, and loose-fitting boyfriend silhouettes, Markus Lupfer just got a whole lot more masculine. This tomboy take on the signature prints creates an exciting new story for SS17 and there’s no shortage of frills, pleats and sequins either if you want added drama.
Bunny graphics bring a sense of cuteness, embellished sliders add summer glam, and effortless shapes inspire a ‘not evening trying’ sort of wardrobe. Set in a designedly desolate studio space at 183 Eversholt Street, this was one of my favourite collections and without a doubt, my favourite presentation of London Fashion Week.
