As I explained in my post last week, accessories were huge for me in 2013. Big necklaces stole my number one spot but I also started to take an interest in watches and wristwear too. Rather than being useful for timekeeping (1. I have my mobile and 2. I’m still not going to be on time), I find watches to be the perfect finishing touch for an outfit. I’ve styled plain LBDs and boring shirt/jeans combos with the simple addition of a feature watch. It’s like that sprig of fresh mint you get on your citrus panna cotta. A garnish.
So I’m delighted to introduce to you, a new South African brand now available here in the UK. This is Bamboo Revolution, a much more sustainable watch label, creating more environmentally friendly timepieces.
Not only is the Bamboo Revolution watch more sustainable than most modern timepieces, but this back-to-nature look is something that comes back into catwalk trends every season, in one form or another. In SS14, we can expect to see some huge safari inspired prints and references to nature (whether that be aquatic or jungle). So these watches are great for updating a plain outfit.
