Inspiration: Andre Judd, The Avant Gardien
Tumblrite and Lookbooker Andre Judd (known better as The Avant Gardien) does not have a Twitter. If he did, I would be tweeting him at least three times a day. Probably with such things as, “you look amazing” or “you’re an inspiration to the fashion industry”. Kill me now.
Andre Judd is a stylist and fashion designer working in Stockholm and he dresses like a #fashiontwat. The only way I could describe him is Lady Gaga avec beard, on acid, riding a unicorn over a rainbow. Probably in space. I love him. I actually want to be him.
Despite the fact that a) he’s a man, b) he looks ridiculous(ly good) and c) he must be high as a kite when he dresses himself in the morning, he is the single most influential fashion icon in my life. I could only dream of wearing a dartboard wheel fashioned as a neck collar and walking to Londis for a Cornetto. Or wearing deer antlers on my head and popping to Greggs.
But I have tried my best to inject a little bit of his craziness into my own outfits. Obviously, in more accessible, wearable forms. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have any friends…
If you’re scratching your head by the end of this, let me clear this up. Yes, he’s 100% serious. No, it’s not a joke.
Here are some of Andre’s most recent looks. Love? Hate? I don’t care.
Whether you’re loving his work or you think he’s just one of those pretentious #fblogging twats, you have to admit he’s pretty interesting. And I challenge you to find another blogger or Lookbooker who does it like Andre.
