Harvey Nichols SS14

Someone recently reminded me just how well bloggers get treated in the fashion world. When you work in fashion too, it’s so easy to forget. As terrible as it sounds, sometimes you do get a little tired of making small talk at events and having to drive frantically in after-work traffic whilst trying to put on some lippy in your rear view mirror. First world problems, I know.

But it’s the Harvey Nichols Fashion Show that brings back that special feeling of being a blogger for me. Every season, I take someone different as my +1 and they always have such a great night. An that’s exactly what makes it worth it for me. Sometimes, all it takes is someone else’s enthusiasm for fashion, to ignite mine again.

So here are some snaps from the latest Harvey Nichols fashion show, featuring key pieces from their SS14 collection. I immediately recognised the D&G pieces which I have been obssessing over since the SS14 Paris and Milan runways (the medallion print and gorgeous polka dot) and I also enjoyed seeing some young names in fashion such as Mary Katrantzou, Mother of Pearl and Sandro.

Make sure you catch the Harvey Nichols fashion show next season and keep and eye out on the Harvey Nichols website.

Tickets usually start around £15, it’s open to the public and you get a glass of prosecco on arrival – what better way to kick off a fashion show than a glass of fizzy!
