Dumpster Design

There are three things you need to know about Daisy Harris-Burland; she swears a lot, she doesn’t know the first thing about fashion, and she makes f**king awesome kickass dresses out of unwanted materials.

Her label, Dumpster Design has just confirmed a creative collaboration with Dior in a new campaign for eco-awareness. So it’s official. Daisy is pretty bigtime. But I trust that she’ll stay true to herself no matter how far her incredible work takes her. Because if she’s the Daisy that I’ve been getting to know through her blog, she’ll remain as crude, rude and down to earth as ever.

I feel like the luckiest person in the world to be able to style and photograph one of her amazing dresses. Daisy, this is truly an honour. So I really hope you like these finished pictures…

This dress was for a collaboration between Dumpster Design and Portsmouth’s Mayhem Magazine, made entirely from spare copies of Mayhem (issue eignt to be precise). Never in my life will I get to wear something as unique and interesting as this. So I’d like to say a massive thanks to the whole team over at Dumpster – you girls rock!

If you’re looking for bespoke dress design (starting from £700) or just want to see more of Daisy’s work, make sure you check out the Dumpster Design website.
